My name is Irene de Prada, I am the One-woman Army behind "PetToonies"

There’s so much one could write about oneself but I’ll try to keep it simple.I feel like I was destined to be a cartoonist. Or at least, I’ve always sort of been one. When people ask me how long I’ve been drawing cartoons and caricatures, I never really know how to answer it but typically say “Well, I’ve been drawing professionally for about 10 years but first started drawing them about 20 years ago

My obsession started in elementary school, when I decided not to draw people because my new best friend was better at them and I would need to find something else I could be better at, that's where I discovered the wonders of pet animation.It was like a lightbulb moment when I finally recognized the concept of cartoons. From there I devoted a lifetime to figuring it out. I drew all my friends pets, and Molded every art assignment I could in Art school to involve pets and cartoons, and since graduation from Universidad Complutense of Madrid, when I got headhunted at my grad show by an event planner in 2013 - and despite my professors who pleaded with me to go to Grad school-  I’ve been living the caricature artist dream ever since. 

In my walk through life so far, it has been quite rocky and everyday I try to be a better version of myself. As an individual, I’m still learning and exploring who I am.
